Accounts are created on first sign-in with Google. After that you can add a passkey (Windows Hello, a phone, a security key) and use it instead.
Passkeys are not available in this browser.
License
PCs
Each license allows a fixed number of active PCs. Deactivating one frees its seat; that PC stops working the next time it goes online (or when its entitlement expires) and can be activated again later.

This service holds your account, license, and the name and key of each activated PC — never your media, transcripts, or reviews. The desktop app checks its entitlement locally and contacts this service only to activate, renew, or sign out.
